Engineering
As a mature Engineer I have successfully met client’s needs for more than twenty-five years, always demonstrating high degrees of initiative, persistence, flexibility, communication, innovation, technical acumen and aptitude, and just plain common sense.
I began my career working as a chemical process engineer outsourced to clients in the petrochemical, energy, hazardous waste, defense, electronics, and beverage industries.
My experience includes: air pollution control, alkyl benzene, ammonia, brewery, charcoal, coal gasification, epitaxial silicon, hazardous waste incineration, olefins, petrochemicals, phosphorus trichloride, sulfuric acid regeneration, sulfurized isobutylene, waste water treatment, and more.
I possess detailed design experience in both chemical and mechanical engineering, including: ASME vessels, bag houses, boilers, burners, columns, controls, cyclones, fans, filters, heat exchangers, incinerators, piping specifications, pressure vessels, pumps, reactors, relief devices, scrubbers, and other equipment items.
While working as an engineer, I developed code to solve engineering process design problems. The software tools I created greatly improved efficiency. In one case my innovative efforts resulted in a new profit center for the Babcock & Wilcox Company. Other clients include: SOFCo EFS, Shell Chemical Risk Management, Union Carbide Corp., The Monsanto Company, Missouri Department Of Natural Resources, Anheuser-Busch, Chemical Waste Management Inc., U.S. Department of Defense, Ethyl Petroleum Additives, Alis-Chalmers, Marsh Ink Company, and Engineering Design & Management.
