Greeting New Olim at Ben Gurion Airport

2009
Yesterday I went to Ben Gurion airport with my Mom at 6:30 in the morning to greet over 200 olim chadashim who came from America with Nefesh B’ Nefesh. Here’s what I saw:
hundreds of people including the leaders of Nefesh B’Nefesh
2 places to get free coffee and tea – including ice coffee (my favorite)
Lots of pastry and fruit
1 BIG El Al plane with Nefesh B’Nefesh printed on it
Gad Ben Rosen of PetSplash giving dog treats to the dogs that came on the plane
Here are the signs we held up as we sang Shalom Aleichem along with all the other people.
It was a special flight because it was the last one for the summer and friends of my mom’s were on it. It was very noisy and fun and I didn’t have to go to school!
You can read about my Mom’s version of our experience here.
